MEET BOB

Honest Leadership. Real Results.

Bob Wieckowski currently represents the 10th Senate District in the California State Senate. In the Senate, he has lead the effort to take on income inequality  by focusing on easing the debt burden for struggling Californians, and introducing a host of consumer protection bills to level the playing field for those most vulnerable in our State.

As member of the State Senate's Environmental Quality Committee, Bob has lead California's delegation to the recent UN Conferences on Climate Change and put us on the fast-track to be a global leader on climate action. He has worked to implement mitigation strategies, investing in climate research and development, and maximizing greenhouse gas reductions to power a clean energy economy that works for all Californians.

As a strong believer that education should be a pathway OUT of poverty, not a pathway INTO poverty, Bob has fought in Sacramento to make college more affordable by increasing grants to college-bound students, and taking on the Banks that have plunged thousands of students into crippling student loan debt.

His work in Sacramento championing progressive causes has recently earned him a 100% Scorecard Rating by the California Labor Federation and the League of Conservation Voters.

And he's just getting started.

He is a Former Vice Mayor for the City of Fremont, and has served in the State Legislature since 2010. He is also a bankruptcy attorney, who has helped hundreds of families through economic hardship, keep their homes and live with dignity.

He received his B.A. from University of CA, Berkeley and his J.D. from Santa Clara University Law School. Mr. Wieckowski lives in Fremont with his wife, Sue.
